An experienced Surgeon with extensive experience in health facility and public health project management and a conviction that health is manufactured in the community and individual homes has been engaged in community health improvement. He combines activities to achieving this aim as Executive Director of an NGO offering clinical, preventive and health promotional activities and heading a Child Development Centre. This is additional to being the Medical Director of a private health facility with community outlook and serving as the current President of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Yaw Adusi-Poku

Yaw Adusi-Poku is a Public Health Physician Specialist at the Ministry of Health of Ghana and a part time lecturer at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, Faculty of Public Health. His areas of expertise include Epidemiology & strengthening Health Systems with emphasis on researching into health systems. Since 2010, he has been a district director of health services having attained good deliverables in outcome indicators. His present responsibilities include research and evaluation of health services, planning, and managing, supervising and monitoring health programs.

Currently he is the Chief Executive Director (CED) of Concern Health Education Project working in Health Advocacy and Community System to enhance case management and contact tracing for Tuberculosis, Advocating for the Promotion of the 3Ts (Test, Treat and Track in Malaria) and Embarking on other Key population related activities (HIV Aids and Human Rights)

Mrs. Josephine M. Sackey is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Socioserve-Ghana. She obtained both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees from the University of Ghana. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Organization Development from the University of Cape Coast. Josephine is a Development Practitioner with nearly 20 years’ experience. She brings to the Board her expertise in governance and development work considering her background and practice in Organisation Development. As part of her professional development she has a Certificate in Project Planning and Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) as well as a Certificate in Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Further, she participated in the Executive Development Program at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.
