JANUARY – JUNE 2021 PERFORMANCE REVIEW

Under the Global Fund NFM III, Community System Strengthening (CSS) intervention the, Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) engages the services of STOP TB PARTNERSHIP GHANA to implement TB case-finding activities within 100 districts in fifteen regions of Ghana.
For the first quarter of the year, STOPTB was given a target of screening, testing and detecting 1,019 persons living with Tuberculosis across the country with a fixed grant. Out of the expected number of TB+ cases found, 968 of these persons were expected to be placed on treatment.
At a performance review meeting with the implementing partners of Stop TB Partnership Ghana and representatives from the Christian Health Association of Ghana, the collected and analyzed case-finding and treatment results indicated that STOP TB PARTNERSHIP GHANA not only achieved but also exceeded the agreed upon Case-Finding and Treatment targets by 143% for the first semester of implementation (January 2021 – June 2021).
The results showed that STOPTB detected 1,456 persons living with Tuberculosis across Ghana compared to a target of 1,019 persons and linked 1,447 (99%) of them on treatment with the Ghana Health Service.
The leadership of the Christian Health Association of Ghana has greatly congratulated STOP TB PARTNERSHIP GHANA for this great achievement.
