STAKEHOLDERS MEETING & PROJECT LAUNCH

Following the Inception Meeting with the NTP, STOPTB and the NTP invited and met with all the stakeholders of the Strengthening The TB Response Through Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships” project, on September 7, 2021 at Crystal Palm Hotel in Tesano. The purpose of the meeting was to officially introduce the project to all relevant stakeholders and to seek their indulgence and support towards the successful implementation of the project.

The occasion was graced by highly esteemed personalities from the following organizations and institutions:

  • Ghana Health Service, Research Department
  • National AIDS Control Program
  • Coalition of NGOs in Malaria
  • Coalition of NGOs in Health
  • The Aurum Institute
  • West African Program to Combat HIV and STIs
  • National Association of Persons Living with HIV
  • Ghana HIV and AIDS Network
  • Hope for Future Generations
  • Association of Private Health Care Providers
  • Afro Global Alliance
  • TB Voice Network
  • Noguchi Medical Institute for Medical Research

All stakeholders present provided very fruitful inputs into the implementation of the project to ensure its success. The climax of the meeting was the official launching of the project by His Royal Majesty Ehunabobrim Nana Prah Agyensaim VI, the national TB Ambassador and paramount chief of Assin Owirenkyi Traditional Area, (Assin Kushea) of the Central Region of Ghana.
